Hi, welcome!

I write about finding joy in the BIG moments and the little things. Let’s be happy together :)

5 WAYS TO SAY ¨I LOVE YOU¨

5 WAYS TO SAY ¨I LOVE YOU¨

“Until then, there are three things that remain: faith, hope, and love—yet love surpasses them all. So above all else, let love be the beautiful prize for which you run.”

‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭13:13‬ ‭TPT‬‬

1. WORDS THAT SAY ¨I LOVE YOU¨

Words have the power to heal, bring life, and feed the heart. The right words at the right time can restore the soul and strengthen the relationship. A handwritten note is easy to make and will leave a lasting impression. However, if you want something a little more ¨extra¨, here are a few templates you can use to add your own special message to send to a friend, partner, or family member.

2. GIFTS THAT SAY ¨I LOVE YOU¨

Some people love luxury. Others prefer a thoughtful gift made with your own hands. Whatever your budget is, I am sure you can swing by to buy some flowers on your way home, get their favorite pastry from the bakery, or find something relevant to your relationship. A gift doesn´t have to say, ¨You´re worth more than jewels so I spent all my money on your gift¨. It just has to say, ¨I thought of you when I saw this…¨

3. ACTIONS THAT SAY ¨I LOVE YOU¨

What mom doesn´t love a clean kitchen? What dad won´t appreciate a freshly-washed car? Surely, serving those around you will make them feel loved and important. Take a load off your loved one and make a delicious homecooked meal or give your parents the gift of a free night and babysit your siblings. In John 13, Jesus painted a beautiful picture of what loving our friends/family looks like: getting uncomfortable to honor and bless those we love.

4. ATTITUDES THAT SAY ¨I LOVE YOU¨

Oftentimes you don´t need a fancy dinner or expensive trip, what the people around you really want is to be seen, heard, and appreciated. What can you do today to put your love for others in action? Maybe finish work a little early and go on a walk as the sun is setting. Put the devices away and look into each other´s eyes, talk about the things that make you happy, play a board game, go on a drive and listen to your favorite songs together. We forget that a big part of living is being, so today, make time to be with those you love.

5. SAY ¨I LOVE YOU¨ WITHOUT WORDS

Personally, I love a big bear hug, especially from my little brother who is not taller than me! Pausing what we´re doing to cherish those around us is a powerful thing. Make time to hug each other today, to kiss your kids and spouse; slow dance in the living room, or cuddle with everyone on the couch. God did not give us our sense of touch to simply know when a pot is hot. He created the whole universe with His Word, but He created Adam with His hands. Our sense of touch is God´s gift to us so that we can create beautiful things, love each other well, offer support and understanding, and enjoy the people around us. Hug more!

I hope that this is more than another blog post, I hope these words spark a desire in your heart to love well. We can benefit so much from being generous with our words, hugs, and actions. What if today, instead of thinking about what you´re going to receive (or being upset about what you didn´t ), you lift up your eyes and give thanks for the living miracles around you. What if we loved others today the way we want to be loved tomorrow?

Happy Valentine´s Day! 💕

Your friend,

Nadia Kay 🌟
