Hi, welcome!

I write about finding joy in the BIG moments and the little things. Let’s be happy together :)

HELLO NOVEMBER (2021)

HELLO NOVEMBER (2021)

WELCOME NOVEMBER! I love the metaphorical smell of a new month. There´s just something about flipping the page on my Rae Dunn calendar to a fresh, new month. I love this time of year because we prep for the holidays and wear cozy sweaters, but besides the yummy treats and new Hallmark Christmas movies, I love that November is a month with gratitude at its forefront. That is why I want to spend all month encouraging us to be intentionally grateful, let´s dive in!

I personally believe that gratitude is the seed that produces joy. I also believe that, like many positive habits we cultivate, gratitude is a choice. In my own life, I´ve seen how gratitude has the power to change my perspective.

It´s simple; do you want more joy in your life? Start sowing gratitude! Want to be a thankful person? Start with a gratitude journal! Want to see your life through a new lens? Give thanks for what you usually complain about.

Here are five verses that give us reasons to be grateful:

  1. He delivers me from my enemies. You also lift me up above those who rise against me; You have delivered me from the violent man. Therefore I will give thanks to You, O Lord, among the Gentiles, and sing praises to Your name. “He is the tower of salvation to His king, and shows mercy to His anointed, to David and his descendants forevermore.” (2 Samuel 22:49-51)

  2. Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever. (1 Chronicles 16:34)

  3. We give thanks to You, O God, we give thanks! For Your wondrous works declare that Your name is near. (Psalm 75:1)

  4. Oh, that men would give thanks to the Lord for His goodness, and for His wonderful works to the children of men! (Psalm 107:8)

  5. For the Lord will comfort Zion, He will comfort all her waste places; He will make her wilderness like Eden, And her desert like the garden of the Lord; Joy and gladness will be found in it, Thanksgiving and the voice of melody. (Isaiah 51:3)

What are you thankful for? I encourage you to start a gratitude journal. Every night, take a few minutes to reflect on your day and write one thing you´re grateful for. I´m doing a 30-day Gratitude Challenge on my Instagram, it would be so fun for you to join and tag me!
